NPMA Announces Call for Nominations: 2025 David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award
NPMA is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the prestigious David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award. This distinguished recognition, sponsored by Envu, celebrates U.S. Military Veterans who demonstrate exceptional dedication to supporting fellow veterans, their families, and colleagues within the pest management industry.
The award honors the enduring legacy of David Cooksey, whose remarkable contributions to the pest management industry and unwavering commitment to supporting military veterans have left an indelible mark. David's passionate advocacy for veterans, particularly in helping them transition to civilian careers, has created lasting positive change throughout our industry.
Award Criteria and Eligibility
Nominees must meet the following requirements:
- Be an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Military (DD214)
- Currently employed by an NPMA member company
The selection committee will evaluate candidates based on their:
- Leadership and participation in community volunteer activities
- Significant contributions to the pest control industry
- Impact within their current company
- Dedication to supporting fellow veterans
- Demonstration of core values including integrity, selfless service, compassion, and dedication
Nomination Process and Timeline
Submit your nominations for outstanding veterans who embody these qualities by January 31, 2025. The recipient will be honored during a special ceremony at the 2025 Legislative Day conference, taking place March 9-11, 2025, in Washington, DC.
Through this award, we continue to recognize those who, like David Cooksey, create meaningful opportunities and foster a sense of community for veterans within our industry.
