NPMA IDEA Steering Committee Meets at ELF
The NPMA IDEA Steering Committee convened in New Orleans along with NPMA volunteer leaders to identify strategies that will contribute to NPMA’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility within the association. The committee discussed the importance of listening to NPMA members to understand their viewpoints and potential barriers to participate fully and authentically in organizational activities and leadership opportunities. We are excited to forge the path for greater awareness and access to information and tools that will not only support our colleagues but also the communities we serve.

NPMA and MANRRS Announce PestWorld Scholarship Recipients
NPMA's Communities+ Diversity Council has selected the two recipients of this year's PestWorld awards. The scholarship is offered through NPMA's partnership with MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences) as part of NPMA's IDEA (Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) Action Plan.
Kiara Ivy, a graduate student at Florida A&M University, and Tabeth Mwema, a Ph.D. student at Auburn University, will each receive a trip to PestWorld in Denver, including travel and hotel expenses and a stipend for expenses. The students will have the opportunity to explore the sessions at PestWorld, visit the Exhibit Hall, and attend various council and committee events throughout their week. Each student will be asked to provide a write-up for publication outlining their experience at PestWorld.
