Empowering Our Partners at AIM
Last week, over 50 leaders of state and provincial pest management associations gathered in Arlington, VA for NPMA’s Association Impact Meeting. During our two days together, AIM combined NPMA’s Association Leadership Forum and SPAR Bootcamp to discuss methods to better serve pest control company members and conduct effective public advocacy campaigns.
The first day showcased best practices from the American Society of Association Executives and provided useful guidance from NPMA leaders on key topics like financial management, volunteer engagement, meeting planning, and marketing.
Day two of the program featured U.S. House and Senate Agriculture Committee staff, government affairs and public affairs professionals, the United Nations Foundation’s United to Beat Malaria campaign, and SPARs themselves discussing the importance of coalitions in advocacy work, how to craft messages to elected officials about protecting public health, and how to effectively deliver those messages to elected officials and their staff. NPMA also presented the results of our 2023 SPAR survey.
Thank you to all who attended and made our event memorable!
