NPMA Academy 2024 Highlights
NPMA's 29th Academy convened over 220 pest management professionals in Orlando, Florida last week for a time of learning, networking, and community impact. During Academy, attendees honed new skills in numerous professional development sessions and networking opportunities including a series of dynamic Olympic-style teamwork challenges.
Speaker Jason Harris empowered attendees to deliver consistently excellent results through a culture of No Fail Trust. Harris provided valuable tactics, techniques, and practical tools for navigating the ever-changing challenges of life and business, leaving attendees motivated and better equipped for their professional journeys.
Networking was a key focus at Academy, with attendees divided into teams to participate in team-building activities. Attendees cultivated their leadership skills as they vied to bring their teams to victory and with full efforts from all, the orange team ultimately took home the gold medal.
Teams were tasked to collect 50 pairs of socks for local charity, GROW Healthy Kids. Together, teams collected 1,721 pairs of socks in support of GROW Healthy Kids mission to make a positive difference in children's lives by increasing opportunities for physical activity and healthy living.
Prior to the conference, attendees teed up for the annual "Swing for Science Golf Tournament". This year golfers played on Omni's International Golf Course in support of NPMA's Pest Management Foundation, whose mission is to support pest management research, education, and outreach.
