Tennessee Arbitration Update
In January, bills were introduced in the Tennessee House and Senate that would prohibit arbitration in consumer contracts. The pro-growth community views these bills as anti-business. NPMA worked tirelessly with the Tennessee Pest Control Association (TPCA), the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and a dedicated team of individuals on the ground (special thanks to Jeff Fedorchak) who worked hard to defeat the bills. As of March 2nd, the House bill is no longer scheduled for a hearing, and it is our interpretation that there will be no further action taken on the bill.
