The David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award honors a US Military Veteran for their support and commitment to military veterans, their families and fellow pest control professionals.
This award honors the inspiration and contributions David Cooksey made in the pest management industry and the impact he had on the lives of his military family and colleagues.
David was a passionate advocate for veterans, helping them transition into civilian careers. The PestVet of the Year embodies his values by providing military veterans with opportunities and a sense of community within the pest control industry.
Nomination Eligibility
- Must be an honorably discharged (DD214) Veteran of the US Military
- Must be employed by an NPMA member company
Nominees will be will be evaluated on the following:
- Leadership/involvement in community volunteer activities
- Contributions to the pest control industry
- Contributions to his/her company
- Contributions to other veterans
- Individuals who can be described using these terms: Integrity, Selfless Service, Compassion, Dedication
Nomination Deadline
Nominations will open in late 2024 for the 2025 award and will be presented during the 2025 Legislative Day conference, March 9-11, 2025, in Washington, DC.
