PPMA Recognizes National Pest Management Month: A Call to Action for Industry-Wide Collaboration
The Professional Pest Management Alliance mobilizes pest control professionals to educate the public on the value of effective pest management
FAIRFAX, Va. (March 18, 2025) – Pest control professionals play a critical role in protecting homes, businesses, and public health, and while research conducted in 2024 by the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) found that 60% of Americans say having a pest-free home is important to them, many remain unaware of the serious health and structural threats posed by pests. With peak pest season approaching, this reinforces the need for industry-wide education and outreach.
April marks National Pest Management Month, a month-long designation recognized by Chase’s Calendar of Events to inform the public on the importance of proactive pest control. The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) encourages industry partners to join this national awareness effort.
“National Pest Management Month provides an opportunity for the industry to lead the conversation on why professional pest control matters,” said Dr. Jim Fredericks, executive director of PPMA. “This is a chance for companies nationwide to work together and amplify our collective efforts, ensuring the public understands the immeasurable impact of proper pest management in keeping our communities safe and healthy.”
To support industry partners in their outreach efforts, PPMA is providing a dedicated toolkit of ready-to-use marketing materials, available to Mainframe subscribers at PPMAMainframe.org. The toolkit includes a customizable press release, suggested social media content, logos and more.
